Spray operations can present both physical and health hazards to those involved. One of the most frequent types of spray operations is spray painting, and spray booths are a common engineering control used to protect workers. Spray booths serve two main purposes: (1) to protect the health of the painter, and (2) to reduce fire and explosion hazards.
This 1-hour online course is a review of regulations regarding spray booth design and construction as posted under Subpart D, Part 1926, from OSHAÆs Safety and Health Regulations for Construction. This course covers rules for topics such as spray booth design, spray booth construction and spray booth usage. There is a test included at the end of this course.

This course is part of a series which provides a cursory review of the OSHA Standards concerning a general interpretation, safety & health provisions including the Occupational Health & Environmental Controls. OSHA Safety: Spray Booths covers Section 1926.66 of Subpart D of CFR 29. The Safety and Health Regulations for Construction comprise Section 1926. 1926.66 covers the criteria for design and construction of spray booths.
